Roosevelt has been elected for the fourth time as the American President and he got high polls. This was enough to show that Americans understood the necessity of international cooperation and internal improvement. I felt very pleased. The Indian broadcast said that Roosevelt might visit China this year. It this could materialise then it would really boost Chinese morale and our international status could be raised. If he has the foresight to make this trip, then it will be very helpful for world peace and the benefit of the human race.

Last night Bulgaria announced it would cease diplomatic relations with Japan.
