I talked with Counsellor Lin Donghai (林東海) with regard to the amendments of the diplomats’ regulations. I was more experienced than the others on this topic so I should draft it myself. Guo Taiji told me that Yichang had recovered. In the afternoon, I heard fire-crackers burning outside and the streets were filled with celebrations over our military victories. I felt really happy about this. In the evening, I had a meal at Wang Chonghui’s. Because of the military victory, I felt happy and drank quite a lot.
