Dull, fog

Ambassador Yu Junji and Ambassador Liu Kai, came to my home for dinner.  Chengyong also came. He said his wife had given birth to a boy the day before yesterday. I felt quite happy for him. He told me that Deng Bingkun had sold his apartment, so probably there was no hope for us to get back the money he [Deng?] owed us. Also, there was no news for selling out Shanglong restaurant. Zhang Zenghan also came.

After our dinner, we went to Salle Chopin, 8, rue Daru to attend the solo concert of Huang Zhiping. It was a little disappointing, and not as good as Zhou Xiaoyan. Even the part recorded by Zhongxiong at the backstage was not very good. After it ended I went with Liu Kai to Marignan to have a cold drink, and discussed with him that Zhongxiong would follow him to attend the General Assembly of the United Nations. Liu Kai said he would be glad to take Zhongxiong with him and teach him everything.
