關於本系統
使用說明

　　《近現代人物資訊整合系統》收錄近現代中國人名錄、人物傳記、職官表、檔案、口述史等多種人物資料，加以編輯組合，並以主題分類，整理為整合性的人物資訊。資料庫收錄的人物時間涵蓋清中葉至民國時期，現有人物約135,000多人。以主題分類有：近代春秋TIS人物索引、上海地區人物錄、中國人物傳記資料、口述史叢書索引、近史所檔案館人名權威檢索系統等。

The Integrated Information System on Modern and Contemporary Characters (IISMCC) is a collection of modern Chinese personal names, biographies, official positions, archives, oral histories, and more. They are edited and combined, categorized by themes, and organized into integrated information on people. The database covers individuals from the mid-Qing Dynasty to the Republic of China era, with over 135,000 individuals currently included. The database is categorized into the following topics: The index of The Modern Annals TIS System, Who’s who in Shanghai area, Chinese Biographical Data, Oral History Series Index, and Authoritative Names Retrieval System of the Archives, IMH, etc.

1. 近代春秋TIS人物索引

　　根據《近代春秋TIS》人物做成的人物索引資料近5,000筆，分為「姓名」、「字號」、「生卒」、「籍貫」、「經歷」、「資料庫索引」等六大欄位，再加延伸參考資訊，提供資料來源及相關參考資料。

The index of the Modern Annals TIS System

The Modern Annals TIS System includes nearly 5,000 figures, which divides into six categories: name, synonym, born and death, native place, experience, the index of database, and extend references, to provide resources and related information.

2.上海地區人物錄

　　「上海地區人物錄」為本所城市研究群蒐集的專題資料，目前有上海人物通訊錄、傳記事略等，資料內容尚陸續增加中。資料庫內容除了可全文瀏覽及全文檢索外，亦根據個別人物錄本身格式，設定「姓名」、「異名」、「生卒」、「學經歷」等欄位，便於分析統計。

Who’s who in Shanghai area

Who’s who in Shanghai area is a project for Chinese urban history research group at the institute of modern history, Academia Sinica. The database covers contacts of Shanghai figures and their biographies. The database is waiting for the issuing newer information. Also, in addition to view and check the whole contents, according to individual biographies, users can use names, birth and death, working and educational experiences in order to analyze in the database.

3.中國人物傳記資料

　　中國人物傳記資料依收錄書籍語種分成「中文資料」、「英文資料」、「日文資料」三大類：中文資料有清末至民國時期政治、軍事、工商界人物資料及本所出版之職官表等。英文資料除中國人物資料，也著重蒐集在華的外國人士資料。日文資料則以1910-1960年代日本編纂有關近代中國人名的14種辭典為主，內容涉及政治、軍事、工商、文化各界，以及少部分在華活動的日人。根據各種傳記資料來源，可讓我們從不同角度來瞭解中國近代人物，這些資料皆可全文檢索與瀏覽，以後也將陸續增補。

Chinese Biographical Data

The Chinese biographical data is divided into three categories based on the language of the included books: "Chinese resources," "English resources," and "Japanese resources." Chinese resources cover the political, military, and business figures from the late Qing period to the Republic of Chinese period. In addition to Chinese figures, English resources also include the resources of Westerners in modern China. Japanese resources focus on the 14 dictionaries of the name of modern Chinese figures. The names of modern figures include political, cultural, and business fields. These resources could enable readers to understand modern Chinese figures from different perspectives. The database opens readers to access all the resources that could view the whole content online. The database is working on adding more new resources in the future.

4.口述史叢書索引

　　收錄本所歷年出版的口述歷史叢書人物索引，列出人物所在的書籍名稱及頁碼，並且可連回口述史網站，查看更詳盡的書籍內容介紹。

Oral History Series Index

It contains the index of the figures of the oral history series published by the Institute, listing the book titles and page numbers where these figures appear. Additionally, it provides links to the oral history website for more detailed information about the book contents.

5.檔案館人名權威檢索系統

　　資料庫內容有「外交檔案人物」、「近代海關人物」、「導淮委員會職員錄」等。外交檔案人物是從本所檔案館典藏的外交檔案中，搜集相關人物，建置人物傳記資料。近代海關人物則由海關職員年表、新關題名錄等，整理出駐在地、任命時間、職稱、姓名、異名、國籍、小傳等欄位資料。「導淮委員會職員錄」則可與檔案館《導淮委員會檔案研究平台》的檔案資料相互參照。

Authoritative Names Retrieval System of Archives, IMH

The database includes the figures in the Diplomatic Archives, the figures of imperial Customs Service, and the Service lists of Huai River Control Commission. The figures in the Diplomatic Archives are collected from the diplomatic archives of the Archives, IMH to build up biographical information. For the figures of imperial Customs Service, information on place of residence, time of appointment, title, name, synonym, nationality, and biography is organized from sources such as the Customs Officers Chronology and the Services lists of imperial Customs Service. The Service lists of Huai River Control Commission and the Huai River Control Commission Project could mutually reference and compare with each other.

1.檢索方式 1. Search Methods

1.1基本檢索 1.1 General Search

　　《近現代人物資訊整合系統》為全文檢索系統，於檢索欄輸入欲查詢的關鍵字，就能搜尋所有資料全文。查詢結果可依「人物詞目」及「全文檢索」兩種方式呈現。

The Integrated Information System on Modern and Contemporary Characters (IISMCC) is a full-text search system. After entering key terms in the search box, you can find the whole context of the figures you want to find. The results could show based on the Name of figure and Full-text search.

　　1.1.1人物詞目檢索 1.1.1 Search by Name of figure

　　如以「蔣介石」為關鍵字，而以「人物詞目」為查詢範圍，查詢結果會顯示詞目中有「蔣介石」或「蔣介石」異名的資料。

If users use "蔣介石" (Chiang Kai-shek) as the key term and set "Name of figure" as the searching range, the query results will display information with "蔣介石" or its synonyms in "Name of figure."

「蔣介石」為「蔣中正」詞目下的異名，以「蔣介石」為檢索詞，會自動導向「蔣中正」詞目，列出搜尋結果。

"蔣介石" is the synonym of "蔣中正" (Chiang Chung-cheng). If you use "蔣介石" as the key term, the database will direct the entry of "蔣中正" and shows the searching result.

　　1.1.2全文檢索 1.1.2 Full-text search

　　若選擇「全文搜尋」為查詢範圍，即使「蔣介石」一詞出現在其他人物詞目下的內容，亦會顯示查詢結果。

If you choose "Full-text search" as the searching range, even if the term "蔣介石" appears in entries of other figures, you still can find the searching result.

1.1.3檢索後瀏覽 1.1.3 View after search

　　若所蒐集之書目有原書圖檔，除在搜尋結果列表時以縮圖顯示外，點選縮圖時，將直接開啟原書頁面放大圖，提供使用者自行對照，如下圖：

If the book of the searching result had original image, in addition to seeing minimum images, when users clicked the minimum images, they can directly open the original page of the book and see the zoom out images as below:

1.1.4消歧義功能 1.1.4 Disambiguation

　　消歧義功能是一補助性功能，以便檢索時能求得更精確的檢索結果。例如：從「蔣中正」的異名表中，以「志清」為檢索詞，檢索結果會先列出本系統中所有包括「志清」一詞的人物詞目，使用者可根據檢索結果列表進一步確認欲搜尋的人物。

The disambiguation function is an auxiliary feature that aims to provide more accurate search results when querying data.
For example, from the disambiguation list of "蔣中正," if users use "志清" (zhi qing) as the key term, the search results will list the names of figures that include "志清." Users could further search the figure they want to search based on the searching results.

1.1.5模糊檢索 1.1.5 Fuzzy Search

　　不確定欲檢索的人物姓名時，可運用?字元（半形）進行模糊檢索，找出近似的人名列表，一個?代表一字。如輸入「虎?」，列出搜尋結果如下：

If you are not sure the figure’s name you want to search, please use "?" to do the fuzzy search, and find relevant name list. One "?" means one character. If you enter "虎?", the searching result will show as below:

1.2進階檢索—metadata欄位檢索 1.2 Advanced Search—Metadata Search

　　因應各種書籍內不同的格式，必須對資料做進階處理，原書內容可明確分出人物的姓名、字號、生卒等基本資料者，我們即規畫metadata欄位，方便使用者統計分析，各欄位可複選。以近代春秋TIS人物索引為例，選擇「籍貫」為「江蘇」，「經歷」是當過「立法委員」的人，可篩選到18筆人物資料。

Due to the different formats in various books, it is necessary to do advanced processing of the data. The original book can concretely divide the names of figures, synonym, birth and death, and other information. We set metadata columns for users to do the statistics and analysis, and multiple columns can be selected. As an example, using the index of the Modern Annals TIS System, selecting "籍貫" (native place) as "江蘇" (Jiangsu) and "經歷" (Experience) as having served as "立法委員" (Legislator), you can filter and find 18 records of figures' information.

2.瀏覽方式 2. Browse

　　本系統除了可在檢索結果圖文對照外，亦提供直接瀏覽，使用者選擇欲瀏覽的書籍後，可直接翻閱原書內容。

In addition to being able to compare search results in text and images, the system also provides direct browsing. After selecting the desired book, users can directly read the original content of the book.

3.整合查詢 3. Integrated Search

　　本系統與《近代春秋TIS系統》的內容關聯是雙向的，在本系統內搜尋到的人物可直接聯結《TIS系統》，預設成《TIS系統》的檢索詞。而在《TIS系統》中查詢資料時，則可連回《近現代人物整合系統》，查詢是否有人物資料可參考。

The system (IISMCC) and the Modern Annals TIS System (TIS) are two-way systems. In IISMCC, users can directly link to the TIS and pre-set the key terms of TIS. When users search information in TIS, the system can also link back to IISMCC to check if there are any ideal figures they want to find.

3.1從《人物整合系統》連結到《TIS系統》 3.1 From IISMCC links to TIS.

在「蔣中正」詞目下，選擇「前往TIS」，可快速連結至《近代春秋TIS系統》，以蔣中正為檢索詞，查詢TIS系統內的相關資料。

Under the entry of "蔣中正," users can choose "ahead to TIS" and use "蔣中正" as a search term to search for related information in the TIS system.

3.2從《TIS系統》連結到《人物整合系統》 3.2 From TIS links to IISMCC

在《TIS系統》的檢索結果列表頁面，可看到條列中有「相關人物」一欄，顯示此筆資料內容中提及的人物。點選「相關人物」的人名後，即連回《人物整合系統》，顯示人物資料。

In the searching results page of TIS, users can see "the relevant figures" in one of sections. After clicking the name of figure, the system will bring users back to IISMCC and show figures’ information.

3.3從《人物整合系統》看《TIS系統》的人物資訊圖表統計

　　《人物整合系統》的人物資料統計是以《近代春秋TIS系統》的內容為統計對象；若查詢的人物未在《近代春秋TIS系統》中出現，則無統計資料。以「蔣中正」詞目為例，點選「TIS分析」，即出現統計圖表，顯示在《近代春秋TIS系統》中，以書籍分類，共有四本書有「蔣中正」一詞，還有「蔣中正」在不同年份出現的次數折線圖。

The statistics of figures’ information in IISMCC are based on the contents of TIS. If the figures users want to search do not show up in TIS, then users cannot find statistic information in the system. Using the term "蔣中正" as an example, clicking on "TIS Analysis" displays a statistical chart. It shows that in the TIS System, categorized by books, there are four books containing the term "蔣中正," along with a line graph indicating the frequency of occurrences of "蔣中正" in different years.
