本資料庫為近代婦女建立傳記資料，以平衡目前近代傳記人物以男性為主的傾向。此外，在傳記中使用「標籤」處理人物的社會關係，標註人物、組織、事件等標籤，藉由這些標籤作為社會網絡的節點；同時也建立人物屬性資料（籍貫、生卒、學歷）。根據這些視覺化及結構化的分析資料，可以鳥瞰近代婦女群體結構，探詢女性群體的組織網絡，發掘女性論述的脈絡。

　　　　為促進數位人文研究的發展，這些標籤資料、統計數據都是開放的，使用者可自行下載資料檔，進行社會網絡分析或其他各種加值運用。

The database aims to establish biographical data for the authors of Modern Women Journals Database in order to balance the trend of huge amount of male characters in recent autobiography. The project uses the labels of autobiography and journal articles to cope with the social network of the authors: marked the figures, groups, journals, events to establish the nodes of the social network. We also establish general information of the authors ( gender, ancestral home, birth-death, academic degree) in the system. Our users can see the whole structure of the author groups to explore the social network and the narrative context of the female authors.

　　To improving the research for digital humanities, we open our database users to download the files about label and statistics data. Users can use the information to analyze the social network, the frequency of keywords, and other studies.
